The Nordhavn N40 is an amazing little ship with a circumnavigation under its belt in 2001 when PAE assembled a rotating crew of officers and employees to take the little boat, which they called “Nordhavn” around the world.
Taking 170 days and putting 24,000 miles under its belt, it set a record for what is now believed to be the fastest and probably the smallest production power boat around the world.
The Nordhavn also sets unprecedented value for money, squeezing in a full redundancy package from day tanks to wing-engines with separate prop over the main engine prop. Although ideal as a coastal cruiser, she will also deliver transatlantic capability – all in a 40 foot package.
There are few boats so uniquely qualified to take two people and their guests around the world as comfortably and as economically as the Nordhavn 40. Strong, rugged and handsome in a no-nonsense way, her special personality was inspired by salty commercial ships fishing the world’s deepest oceans.
